"Lacquer" reflects on the perception we have of our mistakes. My first week working as a delivery driver for a paint store, I dropped a gallon of white lacquer outside on the pavement, and in an attempt to save the first bucket from falling, a second gallon fell, painting the parking lot a brilliant titanium white. It encourages viewers to evaluate the significance assigned to those mistakes and consider the effect of self-forgiveness. The stain remains at the store on 6th Street.
