"Favela" is an oil painting that captures the vibrant essence of Port au Prince, Haiti, while paying homage to my mother's profound connection to this captivating place. As missionaries, my grandparents resided in Haiti, and my mother spent her formative years immersed in the culture and the warmth of its people. This painting is a heartfelt gift to honor her cherished memories and the profound impact this land has had on our family.
